Gisbert zu Knyphausen & Kai Schumacher reinterpret ‘Nähe des Geliebten’ by Franz Schubert

On their second single, singer-songwriter Gisbert zu Knyphausen & pianist Kai Schumacher focus on the art song 'Nähe des Geliebten' by Franz Schubert. The famous composer set this poem by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe to music in his younger years and showed great interest in the German poet throughout his life. More than 200 years later, a new, modern arrangement is created, which in its lightness breaks away from the original strict version. Instead, common pop instruments shape the sound and make 'Nähe des Geliebten' a summery folk song without serving slick pop clichés. There will also be a new music video for the single on YouTube.
