John Metcalfe on loneliness, memories and melancholy
In September John Metcalfe's album debut is released by Neue Meister "Absence". With his first single "See Me Through" he provides a sadly beautiful foretaste:
"'See Me Through' is the last track of my upcoming album'Absence'. One aspect that music touches is the loneliness and our imaginary conversations with people we have lost or are separated from. The film was created by Nathan Skeels and is inspired by the album cover, which was taken shortly after the war at a dance evening. It captures a melancholic mood, both from people dancing with strangers, but also from memories of loved ones who passed away much too early." - John Metcalfe.
The single is available from today on all current portals.
